Sonic the Hedgehog 2, directed by Jeff Fowler, is the sequel to the film adaptation to the "Sonic the Hedgehog" video game franchise starring James Marsden as Tom Wachowski and Ben Schwartz voicing Sonic. Dr. Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey, is back and is teaming ups with Knuckles, voiced by Idris Elba, to find the master emerald. It's up to Sonic and his new friend Tails, voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey, to stop Dr. Robotnik.
This is an example of a sequel that is better than the original. The original movie had some hick-ups for those who remember and it took the studio listening to the public to really find something that worked. With the sequel, you can tell the creators and studio are more confident with their vision. They know what the would satisfy the fans this time around and I really can't think of any real issue that popped out to me while I was watching. *Take that with a grain of salt* I'm not saying it was flawless but that there was nothing major that really crossed my mind while watching like in some other movies.
